This blog is our little corner of cyber space to share about where we have been, where we are, and where we are going.

Our story began way back in 1985, when Darrell and Kristin became friends while attending 5th grade. A lifelong devotion began and saw these two kids through high school, college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (Go Vols!) and eventually led to a marriage in August of 1999. Two and half years later, Emma made her grand entrance. We moved to Nashville in 2003 and Mac was born in 2005.
As long as we can remember, we have dreamed about adopting a child. In 2009, we spent 6 weeks in Guatemala loving on orphans, which intensified our desire to bring a child home. You can read more about our adventures in Guatemala here on the blog. Unfortunately, Guatemala is currently closed to adoptive families. So, we’ve decided to pursue adoption from the neighboring country of Honduras.
